| Version Française Teka B, bonjour et dans un premier temps, au nom de toute l’équipe Decibel Station, nous tenons à vous remercier de prendre quelques minutes afin de répondre à nos quelques questions sur la sortie de votre premier album « We are one ». DS Team - Alors pour les éventuelles retardataires, pouvez-vous nous expliquer un peu l’aventure Teka B, depuis quand à t-elle commencé et surtout d’où vous est venu l’idée de créer ce duo ? A la fin de l'été 2005, Kevin à commencé a produire des morceaux, c'est au court de ce même été qu'il rencontra un DJ, Karel. Kevin ne sachant pas mixer, ils décidèrent alors, de créer un duo "Teka B". Kevin était le producteur et Karel le DJ. Aujourd’hui, pour le moment Kevin est toujours le producteur mais il s'est mis également au mix avec Karel. Karel apprendra a produire dans quelques temps. DS Team - Depuis de nombreux mois, on peut remarquer un nombre impressionnant de productions et de booking, est-ce un peu le sommet de vos carrières ? Qu’est-ce que cela représente pour vous ? Pour le moment, nous sommes très contents d’avoir eu de nombreux booking et d’en avoir autant dans le futur. Nous jouerons en mai à la Bassleader et en juin au Summerfestial. Nous sommes également très heureux d’avoir de nombreux booking dans de nombreuses discothèques comme le Teknik Factory, le The Oh ! … Tu dois rester tout le temps au top pour déveloper ta carriere car tu es surveillé en permanence… Nous devons continuer à créer notre propre style, créer le meilleur beats et essayer de développer un style particulier à l'avenir. DS Team - L’année 2009 et 2010 ont été des années très fortes dans vos carrières, tout d’abord, votre résidence à Ghosthouse puis tout récemment votre 1er album. Comment expliquez-vous un tel engouement pour votre style ? Il y a un an nous avons rencontré DJ Ghost. Il nous a aidé a avoir de nombreux booking à l’H2o, cherrymoon etc… Maintenant pour le moment il est l’un de nos meilleurs amis. Il nous a nommé resident à Ghosthouse et il m’a demandé à l’été 2009 si je voulais réaliser un album pour son label GS2. Il croyait toujours en nous et maintenant nous pouvons le voir grâce aux bookings dans les mois à venir. DS Team - Pouvez-vous nous parler de votre album, pourquoi l’avoir fait ? Depuis combien de temps le préparez-vous ? Sur celui-ci on peu notamment voir des collaborations avec Dr Phunk, DP, X.i cution … c’est avant tous des amis pour vous ? La réalisation de cet album m’a pris un an, de nombreux morceaux sont assez vieux comme bad dream, strikes back mais beaucoup de gens sont complètement fou sur ces musiques. J’ai réalisé un morceau avec Dr Phunk car nous apprécions ce qu’il fait, son style. Un autre avec DP car c’est un très bon ami avec lequel nous travaillons ensemble chaque week end à Ghosthouse. X.i cution est un jeune producteur, je le connais depuis à peu près deux ans et il est très talentueux. DS Team - Quels sont vos projets pour le futur ? Un second album ? Pour le moment, je peux annoncer que je (Kevin) serai le manager du nouveau sous label sur GS2. Le label se nommera « Fresh Beats ». Nous voulons donner la chance aux jeunes producteurs, de développeur leur musique et peut être leur donner une chance de jouer à Ghosthouse et dans beaucoup d’autre évènements que nous créerons dans le futur. Un Second album est possible, je suis entrain de faire un remix officiel de Q-Ic & Dh Ghost – Desire. Quand viendra le second album, je suis sur que ce remix y sera avec le titre "Hit the Dancefloor " . Le titre est déjà dans les clubs mais il était trop tard pour l’inclure dans le premier album. Je suis aussi occupé de trouver un nouveau style dans la jumpscene ... C'est difficile, mais je vais essayer de chercher, avant l'année prochaine. DS Team - Que pensez-vous du Jumpstyle ? Comme certains le disent, pensez-vous que le jumpstyle est entrain de mourir ? Je pense que jumpstyle n'est pas mort. Il y a suffisamment de gens qui écoutent de la musique jumpstyle. Je pense que le problème est que tous les gens sont habitués à avoir de grandes line up, avec tous les plus grands dj's ... Et c'est à cause de cela, que les gens ne sortent pas beaucoup plus je pense. Je pense que dans quelques mois il y aura un nouveau style de jump .. Maintenant, pour le moment le style qui rend les gens complètement fou, c'est le style de Dr Phunk. DS Team - Quels est votre calendrier pour les mois à venir ? Nous avons de nombreux booking pour les prochains mois. Le 8 mai nous jouerons par exemple dans un club à OOSTENRIJK (Autriche), le 15 mai nous jouerons à la Bassleader et le 26 juin au Summerfestival. Nous avons également beaucoup de booking au Teknik Factory, H2o et beaucoup d’autres. DS Team - Quel est le meilleur event auquel vous avez participé ? Mon évènement préféré étant durant l’été 2009, Tomorrowland. C’est l’un des meilleurs évents en Belgique. La foule est dingue … J’aime également des clubs comme le Cap’tain, le The Oh ! parce que il y a toujours beaucoup d’ambiance et j’aime quand les gens s’amusent. DS Team - Un dernier mot ? Je veux simplement ajouter que je suis heureux du soutien de nos fans. J’ai beaucoup de respect pour eux et nous essayons toujours de rendre nos fans heureux. Écoutez l’intro de notre album !! | English version Hey Teka B firstly all the team join me to thank you to find time to answer a tour interview concerning your album « We are one ». DS Team - Can you explain us when the Teka B crew was created and why the choice of 2 persons in your crew for the scene ? End of 2005 Kevin started to make tracks , in the summer of 2006 he met Karel , he was a dj. Kevin couldn’t mix and he decided to make a duo with Karel . Kevin the producer and karel the dj. Now for the moment Kevin is still the producer but he mix now also with Karel . So we mix with 2 dj’s. Still 1 producer , in the future Karel will Learn to produce. DS Team - We remarked few months ago the increasing of your releases and your bookings, do U think you can still evaluate more and more in the scene ? What do you think about your status on the scene ? For the moment we are very happy with the many bookings and also upcoming bookings. We play in mai on Bassleader and in June on SUMMERFESTIVAL. We are also happy that many Discotheques keep us booking like Teknik Factory , The Oh ! , … I think every dj can still evaluate .. You must be very concentrate on that because i think the career can be done in some moments .. We must still create our own style and make our beats better and also trying to make a special style in the future. DS Team - 2010 is a very good year for you with the residency in Ghosthouse a very good club and with your release of your abum. How you can explain that. Why your style ? One year ago we met DJ GHOST. He helped us with many bookings in H2O , Cherrymoon , … Now for the moment he is one of our best friend … He maked us resident in Ghosthouse and also he asked me in the summer of 2009 if I want to make an album for his label on GS2. He believed always in us and now we can see that in all the bookings for the coming months. DS Team - Now can you speak more about your album, why an album ? How many times you needed to prepare and produce that album. Some interesting versus are present on your album with for example Phunk, DP, Xicution. Are they firstly friends or for their styles ? I maked the album in 1 year , some tracks are older like bad dream , strikes back , … But many people on the dancefloor are crazy about ths tracks. I maked a track with DR Phunk because we like eachother style .. Also with DP because he is a good friend of us and also resident dj in Ghosthouse. X.i cution is a young producer , I know him already 2 years and he still evaluate very good. DS Team - Which projects are planned for you for the moment ? Maybe a second album in progress ? For the moment i can announce that i(Kevin) will be the manager of a new SUBLABEL on GS2(Ghoststyle) . The label will call ‘Fresh Beats’. We want to give young producers chances to bring their music out and also chances to play in Ghosthouse and many other new extern events we will create in the future. A second album is possible , i’m already busy to make an official remix on Q-IC & DJ GHOST – Desire . When there comes a seconde album i’m sure the remix will be on it also together with the track ‘ HIT THE DANCEFLOOR ‘. The track is a bom on the dancefloor but was to late to set on the first album. I ‘m also busy to find a new style in the jumpscene … Its difficult , but i will try to search that before next year. DS Team - What do you about the Jumpstyle ? Do you think the Jumpstyle will die soon like somebody seems to tell ? I think jumpstyle is not dead. There are anough people who listen to jumpstyle music. I think the problem is that all the people are used to have BIG LINE UPS , with all the biggest dj’s… And its because of that , that the people don’t go many out anymore i think. I think in some months there will be a new style in jump .. now for the moment the style who make the people crazy is the style of Dr. Phunk. DS Team - What is your calendar, different bookings for the next months ? We have many bookings for the next months. On 8 Mai we play for example in a club at OOSTENRIJK (austria) , 15 may we will play on the big event ‘ BASSLEADER ‘. And 26 june on SUMMERFESTIVAL. We have also some bookings in Teknik Factory , H2O , And some others … DS Team - What was your favourite event where you was an actor ;) ? My favourite event was in the summer of 2009 , TOMORROWLAND. Its one of the biggest events in Belgium. The crowd there is crazy ... Also i like clubs like Cap’tain , The Oh! , because there is always many sphere and i like when people amuse them. DS Team - Maybe you want to add something ? I just want to add that i’m happy with all the support of our fans… I have respect for them and we will always try to make our fans happy !!!
